Knighton

Knighton is a small market town in Powys on the Welsh/English border. It is situated in the beautiful River Teme valley, with spectacular wooded hills rising steeply to over 1,600ft above the town. (www.teme-valley.co.uk/knighton.htm)

Local walks: In addition to Offa's Dyke and Glyndwr's Way, there are many footpaths, providing a wide variety and standard of local walks. Many of these walks are possible from the doorstep. Pat and Geoff have walked most of the routes into the surrounding hills and valleys and would be pleased to help you plan a suitable walk.

Cycle routes: The area is perfect for cycling; the roads are quiet and there are many off-road tracks. From meandering valley to challenging 'switchback', there are routes to suit all abilities.
